“Thank you from Curtis”
Curtis would like to say a huge thank you to all who supported us in our quest to raise money for Prostate and Testicular Cancer.
Combining all the postcards filled out and returned, Blue Monday and £10 for every order placed during the month of October, we beat our previous fundraising events and are proud to announce we raised £1220.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the lovely staff at Ella’s Kitchen. Ella’s Kitchen had their own Blue Monday event also made a generous £50 donation.
After careful consideration, Curtis have decided to donate the money to an appeal called “Everyman”. The Everyman appeal was launched in 1997 to raise funds for Prostate and Testicular cancer research at The Institute of Cancer Research. The scientists at ICR have made a significant breakthrough in this time by discovering and developing the new revolutionary prostate cancer drug Abiraterone. This drug is now approved for use on the NHS and throughout Europe and the US to extend the life for men who have advanced prostate cancer.
ICR scientists on-going research are leading the way to uncovering genetic causes of cancer. This organisation has discovered more cancer related genes than any other organisation in the world!
Curtis feel the Everyman appeal a very worthy cause and hope our donation helps the scientists at ICR to carry on their amazing work!
